One Month Old

Hey guys...

My blog was one month old yesterday :) So far I LOVE blogging... people commenting really does make my day!

There's so much more I want to do with this blog, the main thing: showing you all my outfits. Currently I really don't wear much interesting clothes as I am smack bang in the middle of doing my exams.. so I haven't been out much. I've just bought myself a tripod (I bought a universal one of Ebay for like £8.95) so I'm hoping that it ain't guna be too shitty for that price. I can guarantee it will be better than my crappy mirror posts :)

Another thing I wan't to do is re-vamp the design of this blog, add cute little buttons and whatnots.. I know that's guna take up some time, and I'll have plenty of that after my exams.

So I'll end this post with my current 'want want want's'

Pity I have no money to buy any of them.. Every item is from (trusty ole) Topshop

Thanks for reading :)

Inspiration

wehearit
tumblr
I love seeing inspiration posts on other people's blogs.. so I thought I'd try one out. I love looking at pictures and thinking 'I wish.' I look at the first picture and think 'I wish I had a hand full of beautiful rings.' Of course the 'I wish' theory cannot be applied to every picture..  So take the middle picture.. that's kind of a mood picture, I just simply look at it and like it.. simple as that. If you like the look of something it becomes an inspiration.

Colours I'm currently lusting over are neutral black, grey, camel, tan white..

Also loving warm colours... orange, coral, rust, dark yellow,

And finally.. I don't think my love for animal print will ever end. EVER!

My mind constantly has a 'new' thing to lust over. Things that inspire me always change. It's currently the 'aztec' trend. Anything with fringing, feathers or with the signature aztec print wins me over pretty easily.

What's currently inspiring you?

Thanks for reading :)

Go High or Go Home

Hey Everyone

After a long (not really that long but it felt it) wait for my Jeffrey Campbell Lita's, they have FINALLY arrived :) :)
It wasn't all plain sailing though...

After furiously tracking my parcel every single day, sometimes twice a day they arrived in British Customs on the 13th May... they were sat in customs for FIVE WHOLE DAYS. I was getting rather frustrated... but they finally left customs at 6:08 this morning with a massive £35.08 customs charge on them. I can't say I wasn't expecting a VAT charge as I was pre-warned by my post-woman (we've become rather friendly lol) that customs are pretty strict. So anyway.. I could have waited till tomorrow for Parcel Force to deliver to my house but I thought I'd take the 30 minute drive to the depot... just couldn't wait any longer (and I do anything to get out of revision ;) Procrastination! )

So here are the beauties...

The box had a little crossword on it... all the answers revolve around shoes...
Don't get that in Topshop ;)

LOVE <3

They are seriously comfortable.. and so so so amazing! The suede has a kind of worn affect, which I love... gives a vintage vibe. The shoes are so 70's and I really cannot wait to wear them! They also fit like a glove, which I am so glad about... was really worried as to whether I picked the right size.

Just another picture to show you some other purchases I have recently made (nothing on the scale of wowness of the Lita's though lol) and some other stuff..

Left to Right...

OOTN

Hey y'all... soz for the lack of posts this week... been a busy little bee (as well as blogger being a right royal pain in the arse)!

So last night was my friends 21st Birthday celebrations.. We ventured to the seaside location Porthcawl for a night out! We stayed in this cute little B&B and had such a fun night! Did not stop laughing! Feeling awfully fragile today mind...

So this is what I wore out...

Dress: Topshop
Shoes: Topshop
Bag: Topshop
Jewellery: Topshop
Yeah... Topshop was sick ALL OVER ME! lol!

Porthcawl beach

In other news: My lita's are yet to arrive... They would have looked so hot last night too :( BUT they are in Great Britain somewhere so I'm expecting them very soon!! Cannot wait to wear them!

Ive also bought this dress which I previously blogged about (here). It is so beautiful.. cant wait to wear it! I have so much to wear and nowhere to go.. :(

Anyways.. Hope you've all had a good weekend :)

Saturday: Student Loan Splurge!

So its only quarter past two... and I've already half demolished my student loan...

Here's what I bought :)

Firstly... I BOUGHT JEFFREY CAMPBELL LITA'S :) :) :) I'm so happy.. but I'm trying not to be over-excited  as they haven't arrived yet.. shipping from America so God knows how long that will take.. and I got sooooo confused over what size I am meant to get... so PRAYING that they fit perfectly! I got them in the taupe suede colour and they were under £100 and I got free shipping! result! .... I got them here.

So after my little online adventure at 7:00AM this morning I got myself out of bed and hit Cardiff town. The weather was abysmal (did anyone else have seriously CRAZY thunder and lightening last night?) but has since brightened up. But no matter what the weather... nothing was keeping me from shopping today.

TOPSHOP

Aztec top: £16.00
Shirt:£24.00
Bracelet:£12.50
Necklace:£12.50
Earrings:£7.50
The shirt looks so cute on... Very Geek Chic with the tie. Already have the bracelet in Silver and love it so bought it in gold too :)

 H&M

Jumpsuit: £19.99
Maxi dress:£12.99
Top:£7.99
Could have spent hundreds in here today... but I somehow whittled it down to just these three items. I love the prints on these items.. and they will be perfect for summer :)

New Look

Top:£6.99
Necklace:£8.00
Earrings£7.00
Socks: 3 for £4.00
Was pretty gutted with the choice in New Look today.. but love the top! Don't really know why I bought these socks :s The necklace is amazing!

Republic

Palazzo Trousers:£29.99
Ring:5.99
Earrings:£3.99
I literally never go in here... as the store in Cardiff was laid out so badly it was hard to shop in, there is a new bigger store now though, so I ventured inside and was pretty impressed with the selection. These trousers have a serious flare. Can't wait to wear these..

Boots

£2.99 each

I took advantage of the 3for2 offer.. and got myself these bright summery BarryM nail varnishes.. and also my regular Maybelline Dream Matt mouse foundation.

This is what I wore today... the famous H&M dress... and a scraggy Topshop cardigan. Both necklaces are from New Look (AX Paris I think the brand is called) Sorry for the outfit in the mirror post (again)...

Now I must go and eat before work :/

So exited for my Lita's to arrive eeeeeeekkk :)

Friday Feelings

Hey all... Welcome to Friday feelings. I'm gonna throw out a few things I'm loving and hating this week.

LOVE <3...

Aztec prints...

Yayer top

I think my love for Aztec is pretty self explanatory... just look at that amazing print..

Chocolate Milkshake

ahh they're so refreshing... craving one now! add a bit of whipped cream and your sorted!

DIY Clothing

I've been chopping clothes up like there's no tomorrow lately... and bought myself some studs to customise a bra! Got the wonderful idea from this post on Effiesmakeupbox. I love how DIY/Customisation can make a perfectly average item completely unique and special.

I love how ALL SAINTS display these singer sewing machines in their windows, they are really beautiful vintage machines. My auntie apparently has one somewhere in her house so I'm gonna adopt it and display it in my bedroom :)

Nail Art

I'm constantly thinking up how I'm going to decorate my nails next... my main style is the Gem fatale inspired leopard print, as its so wonderfully easy and quick! I'm hoping to get better at nail art.. maybe buy myself a Konad stamper. I've just bought a 16 set of nail art pens on Ebay for like £6.95... Haven't received them yet but I'm expecting cheap and rather crappy products.. but for that price I don't really mind.

I loled so much this morning reading through these... I kinda want a phone that autocorrect's things now. It would be too funny!

HATE...

Yea.. hate's a pretty strong word... but it works so well and I'm so overdramatic!

The words ''OUT OF STOCK''

It's so devastating.. especially when you know you have like a week to wait until payday so you start making a wishlist and you fall in love with the PERFECT item... payday comes and BAM... 'OUT OF STOCK'

Uni/Uni work/Exams

Just bleughhhhhhh! enough work already please!!!

TOWIE

aka The Only Way Is Essex. Like seriously. What is the point of this programme. When I watched it I felt my brain go numb and I wished and wished I could have got that hour back that I wasted and spent it more wisely. I just don't get the hype.. yea the girls are pretty the boys look good.. but seriously.. Are they acting? It Cannot be real life I'm sure! Who the f*** vajazzles? I'd actually love to know if you have been vajazzled haha

Lazy ass pieces of shit :/

So I live in a little village in the South Wales Valley's... I love it here sometimes.. living in the countryside.. beautiful views village life where everyone knows everyone and everyone looks out for each other, community spirit and all that jazz... But there are people who spoil where I live. There are countless people here who have never worked a DAY in their lives.. they got kids running round left right and centre (the kids are normally horrible, cheeky little shits).. they take drugs.. they have benefits to spend on booze and fags. They wear awful AWFUL clothes and need a good bath! It really REALLY infuriates me. I could go on forever about these people, but for your sake I wont!

The thing that lives in my house that steals my socks :/

Ok.. random I know.. but I'm sure everybody has the same problem. I'm really fussy when it comes to socks, I can't bring myself to wear an odd pair.. and I always have plain black for work. I put both socks in the wash... both socks come out of the wash, they both go to the tumble dryer.. and only one sock returns. It happens all the time. I do not understand where these socks go? Just imagine all the money I've wasted on plain black socks coz I have to have a matching pair. Where are my damn socks :s

I've got a last and final hate.. Currently hating Blogger for refusing to upload my pictures. Anyone else have this problem often? I had an amazing pair of matching plain black socks to show off.. and a wonderful picture of a MASSIVE chav.. kinda spoiled my post now! lol!

hope you Enjoyed reading :)

4 May 2011

May the 4th be with you :)

Today will be my PATHETIC attempt at an outfit post... I have an excuse though.. No tripod (I plan to get one) and there is no-one home to take my picture. I did try though lol. I'm also gonna share my favourite site to buy amazing jewellery!

Here goes :s

Top: All Saints
Cardigan: Topshop
Shorts: River Island
Ok so NOT a very good picture AT ALL... and why is my fringe so wonky? it isn't in real life lol! I'm wearing black leather shorts by the way... The pic is a little dark and they blend with my tights.
Cute little bargains... £14 George @ASDA
Not bad for under £20 eh? Very similar to Topshop and they have a cute crochet thingy going on too.. :) I've scuffed them a tad though.

Models Own '25 Carat Gold'
Models Own/Wah Nails black nail art pen
Ok for the jewellery...
My all time favourite site to buy jewellery is 'Galibardy.' I absolutely LOVE the things they come up with.. I discovered this site maybe a year or two ago and have fallen in love with many of their beautiful items. They seem to be one step ahead of the trends as this was my very first order with them, and that was way before 'skull' related jewellery hit the high street. The price is well worth the quality of their pieces... there's been no 'green finger' related incidents.
My first purchase :)
I need to buy a brass polish... as this ring is a little worn now... I also had an idea to put red diamonte thingys in the eyes? but yeah.. prob will never happen as I'm full of ideas, but tend to forget I had them and never put them into action lol.

My most recent purchase (My hand looks so ugly and weird in this photo)
This was the first 'amour' ring I came across (that wasn't designer).. they're everywhere now.

And finally here's what I'm lusting over

All items can be found here :)
So a rather long post today... Hope you enjoyed reading! Love reading everyone's comments... :)

ps... How ANNOYING is blogger to upload photo's... takes so long!
pps... I'm a little obsessed with skulls, if you didn't already notice :)

NOTD ~ Royal Wedding Inspired

Hi everyone :) How much did you all LOVE the Royal Wedding? I especially loved Kate's B-E-A-uuutiful Sarah Burton of McQueen dress. If I was ever to marry I would want a dress exactly like that.. A long train yet very simple and classy. The complete opposite to something featured on 'My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding' ( I'm sure you've all seen it and loled/cringed ).

My friend had a small house party to watch the Royal Wedding, complete with nibbles and champagne. It was really fun. Pity I had to leave half way through to go to work. Anyways I attempted a British themed nail art, which kinda went to plan, its a little messy, but was my first attempt of nail art other than Gem Fatale inspired leopard print. So here they are..

I'm quite proud of them... and reluctant to take it off as it took me ages to do. They do look better from a bit of a distance though. I had so many people compliment me on them, in fact the most compliments I've ever had from strangers, even men were commenting on my nails (didn't think they noticed stuff like that lol).

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.. I've finally got my new camera :) so will be doing outfit posts ASAP. Just a bit nervous though and wondering where in my house will be the best to do them etc.. I tend to worry and over-think trivial things! Thanks all who have read my posts so far, and hope you all continue to read and maybe give a little advise if you could :)
