Peter Pan Collar Nails

These are the nails I wore to #ldnluch yesturday. They looked awesome for about the first 30 minutes that they were painted, then I decided to smudge them and make them into a mess! But regardless of the mess I love them! I always struggle to find inspiration for nails these days, I've tried pretty much everything and hate wearing the same nails twice and everything I would love to do is way too complicated and you need proper professional nail art tools to do stuff! These were pretty simple to do and turned out quite well I think! 

#ldnlunch was freaking awesome! I loved meeting the people behind the blogs and chatting/laughing etc! Didn't get to speak to everyone though which was a bit of a shame.. but I'm sure we'll all have the chance in future meet-ups :) 

We took over the bar, it was a room full of ladies drinking lovely cocktails.. I had a Singapore sling which was delicious! There were 3 men there watching football who were wondering what we were all up to... they came to the hilarious conclusion that we were either on a hen party or lesbian speed dating! haha how funny! 

Had a fabulous day anyways and can't wait to meet you all again :) 

Classic leopard

Taken with my new Canon 600D haha! Love how clear it is, well at the same time I hate it coz now you can all see how bad my skin is around my fingers... dry skin galore lol! I cannot stop biting my nails lately either!

The other day I was stuck for what to do with my nails, and then I realised that I haven't had the classic leopard mani in months so obviously that's what I did. All colours used are Models Own: snow white, sterling silver, 18 carat gold and bronze rage! Black nail art pen is off Ebay! 

I've just bought the Topshop nail art pens in black and white and I'm so exited to try them out properly, I think more intricate designs will be attempted as its literally like using a felt pen! I'll show you what I come up with when I try them :) 

This week has been so draining so far.. uni is back up and running and after having nearly 2 months off makes it all the more harder to get back into the swing of things.. I seriously cannot wait to graduate and get this shit over and done with!

Random black and white

I decided to paint each nail with a different pattern... I think my favourite is the very simple polka dot one.. just simple but effective.. I smudged a few of them prior to taking the picture.. for example the stripy one! But cannot be arsed to re-do! Oh and please to ignore the bottom pic pointing finger, it was not meant to look like this haha! 

White nail polish is a MASSIVE pain in the arse! No matter what brand I try it becomes really gloopy, so I try the 'mix nail varnish remover with the polish' trick and it does work but the white become too runny then, even if I use just a little bit.. I use white polish a lot, so really need a good one? Any recommendations? I currently use Models Own and have tried Barry M and a crappy Claires accessories one and they were all fine at first! I'm guessing I'm gonna have to splash out a bit! 

Funny story.. Yesterday I ordered a £699 Canon 600D BY ACCIDENT!!! haha.. I was just adding it to the basket on Very.com and seeing how much it would be to pay monthly and how much with 10% discount code etc.. then clicked continue and BAM 'Order accepted' I was like SHITFUCKDAMN!! haha but then after the shock wore off I actually got exited.. I was planning to pay using their store credit, so would be paying a bill every month! I was thinking how wonderful (maybe) my pictures would be etc.. and I was actually planning on buying one anyway so thought Ah well.. least I actually made the big plunge without having to think about it... so I logged out of Very, got on with my day etc come home and logged back on and to my utter disappointment my credit was rejected :( Now technically I should be relieved but I was sooo gutted, like I said after the shock I got all exited and stuff. So today I couldn't get over the fact that I wasn't actually getting the Canon 600d.. so I ORDERED IT ANYWAY haha! But this time I bought it on Jessops and have actually ordered it (I hope).. end of funny story.

So maybe next week I'm hoping to blog with a brand new shiny camera :) (my pics will still probably be shit haha)

Silver and Black

YAY a nail post :) Haven't done one of these in sooo long, haven't even painted my nails for weeks! Stupid job!

Not overly impressed with these though, love my thumb and ring finger but that's about it! My latest obsessions is with triangles, so wanted to do some nail art based around them! Forgot to put topcoat on though, so they aint that shiny :( 

I reaaaally need to have some sort of manicure and should really start moisturising my hands, my hands are probably the least looked after part of my body.. wash them eveyday and that's about it! I bite my nails as soon as they start growing coz they always start peel and then I HAVE to bite them lol! 

I have a week off work now, so painting my nails is TOP of my list.. miss my lovely nail art!

Pow, Leopard, Cake, Spot and Anchor

Hey guys

First of all.. A big massive thank you to everyone who commented on my last post... you were all a great help in finding my birthday dress.. I'm gonna go 'real life' shopping tomorrow for a final look around I shall keep you all updated!

My nails last week were a random mix of things. I wanted lots of patterns and summery colours in hope it would inspire the weather.

All the nail art was done with nail art pens from Ebay. 

Thumb:  Models Own Lilac Dream. You can't see it very well; it's comic book theme inspired. I've seen a few images of these 'POW' nails and wanted to try it myself :) 

Pointing Finger:  Models Own Fuzzy Peach. Classic leopard print... so easy and so effective! 

Middle Finger: Models Own Lemon Meringue. A cupcake: Didn't turn out as good as I expected, think I needed a darker 'background' colour so the cake would stand out better! 

Ring Finger: Barry M pink Flamingo. I Love this... So simple, yet so pretty. Cannot wait to do this with a Black background and white spots. I think it would look awesome! 

Little Finger: Models Own Top Turquoise. I love this little anchor. It was easier to do than expected so I was rather chuffed with that. I've been inspired to do nautical themed nails now with anchors and stripes and lots of nautical related things.

I've made a little 'nail art to do' list in my filofax.. Top of the list is galaxy nails but before I can do that I need my Models Own order to arrive; which is taking FOREVER! I haven't even painted my nails this week as I didn't wanna spend time painting them only to take it off and try out the new polishes when my order arrived... so I've had horrid boring nails for a whole week now! How long should I wait before I connact them? It's been 8 days since I ordered and they have confirmed my order but I haven't had a dispatch confirmation? I'm so freaking impatient!
